Whether we like it or not, 2023 is upon us! It seems like just a day ago we were starting 2022, and a day before that we were still in 2021. However, time keeps moving, and we will be in the year 2023 very soon. This next year will be huge for me personally and I know that a lot of people will have to make big decisions and many things will take place before 2023 is over. We will be able to meet new people, have new adventures, and there will be highs and unfortunately, there will be lows as well. One thing I have been thinking about and I would encourage you to as well is that time will keep ticking. This year may have gone by fast or maybe for you it went by slowly but time is the same for every one of us. Regardless of whether you wasted the time or used it wisely, the year has passed. For this reason, I would encourage you that there is no time like the present moment to achieve your goals and live the life you want to live.

The time is now

I would encourage everyone reading this to take control and make this year the best one yet! The time is now to take control of your life and point it in the right direction and start to achieve your goals. We don't need to wait until tomorrow or next week or next year. The time will come regardless of what you did and then on that future day, you will still feel the same. It is so easy to keep pushing it back and back until it is never done. If you are looking to start reading more books, working out, or starting a project that you really want to do, I would encourage you to start small today and just begin. Doing anything is better than nothing and starting small and doing something that is reasonable and sustainable will be the best way to make something a habit.

Think how much better we could make 2023 be if we were all more healthy, happy, more organized, and kinder to other people. If every one of us strived to do that it would make such a difference in the world around us. It is better to begin and start small rather than to make huge resolutions without reachable steps. If you want to create a habit and start doing something that you want to do, I recommend starting small and becoming consistent before trying to take on a lot. Building the habit first and then continuing from there is the best benchmark for future and sustainable success rather than attempting to achieve your whole goal from the very beginning. Always remember that anything is better than nothing and that a small step in the right direction is what works best.

That is why I came up with the name Small Steps for Improvement because I believe that just starting small is sustainable and will lead to long-term growth. I really hope that everyone reading this can make 2023 the best year of their life and this is the year that we start to make some progress toward our goals and begin to live the life that we want to live. Remember that what you do and say today impacts the person you are in the future. Small steps in the right direction can have a large impact later on.

I am rooting for each and every one of you and I hope that this will be the year for all of us! Please feel free to reach out if you need to talk about anything or if there is anything I can help with!

Keep up the good work and make a small step toward your goals today! :)
