During the Christmas season this past year, a lot of the people in my family got pretty sick. Maybe it was the flu or COVID; we weren't sure, but it was pretty bad. A lot of us had fevers for multiple days, and the symptoms lingered for a very long time. There is nothing like a sickness to completely wipe you out and make you reflect on how vulnerable we are sometimes. Surprisingly, to all of us, my youngest niece handled being sick very well. She had her moments, but she continued to play and smile and wave to people even while being very sick. Even while most of us just stayed in bed. Being resilient and adapting to different situations is something we all need to be able to do. Although we can't predict when we might get sick or when things might happen to us, all we can do is continue to be resilient and give the best we can.
