Doing Hard Things

We go through many different stages of life, and some are harder than others. There are times when we are doing so many things and getting very little sleep, and we are just trying to hang on. On the other hand, there are times when we are not as busy and have more time to do the things that we enjoy. I was discussing this with a friend recently that when you do hard things in your life, whether that be something at work, personal life, or at the gym, you are building up this mental fortitude. Now you know that when something else hard comes your way, you can think back to the things you've already accomplished and be confident that you can take on this new challenge. Everything you do that is hard builds confidence, and these challenges help us to grow as people. Of course, we like it when things are easier, but doing the hard thing can sometimes be the best thing for us. When we look back at all the hard things we've accomplished, it will help us move forward and tackle the next big thing, knowing we can prevail. It's not easy, but all you can do is keep going and put yourself in opportunities where you can grow in whatever field you want to move forward in.
