Changing Things Up to Reach New Heights

Having routines and habits is great. They allow our brains to essentially turn off and we will follow a cue to perform the routine without even having to think. If you take a second to think about it, you will realize that a lot of the behaviors/habits you do regularly without ever thinking about it. Once you learn something and develop a routine for it, you never have to think about it again. However, when you change something up your brain has to reengage and perform the task. Our body has such an excellent way of adapting to fit our environment and the stimuli that we give it. Although this is essential, we can easily fall into bad habits without even thinking about it. When it comes to health we want to always be pushing ourselves in the right direction. With exercise for example, changing up our routines is key to improvement. Once your body adapts you need to add more stimuli to keep improving. Changing things in your life for the good, will force your body to adapt and improve. Next thing you know those habits will be built in and you will be doing them without thinking. It really is awesome how the human body works.
