In today's world we are constantly being bombarded with things we have to do or get done, people emailing or messaging us, or having to deal with situations at home. We are also reliant on our phones and it seems almost impossible to get away from social media or being accessible 24/7. For me the feeling of not being able to achieve what I want to gives me the most stress and anxiety. What gives you stress might be different but it can manifest in similar ways. Today I just want to talk about some very basic stress management techniques that you likely already know, but we all need a reminder once in a while so I thought it would be good to address it. Most of our anxiety/stress is worrying about a future outcome or event; it is something in the future that hasn't happened yet. My biggest tip for this kind of stress is just to be as prepared as possible so when that day comes you know you did everything you could for the outcome to go in your favor. There is nothing worse then knowing that you didn't put in your best effort. Some other tips I have found to be helpful are just slowing down and breathing. It's so easy to just rush through you day task after task, but slowing down and taking some time is really important. The last little tip that I will leave you with is just to take time to exercise, get outside, or do a hobby you personally enjoy. Nothing is going to lead to burnout or stress faster then when you cut out these things from your life, not only will they bring you joy and fulfillment they will also help you to be more focused when you do sit down to do what you need to do. Those are just some quick tips I thought of for today, hope you found this helpful.
